• New Inpatient Rehabilitation Center Now Open for Patient Care

    Patients requiring intensive therapy after stroke or other debilitating medical conditions now have a new rehabilitation center close to home. Eisenhower Medical Center has expanded its services by opening the Coachella Valley’s newest and largest inpatient rehabilitation center.

    “Eisenhower’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Center will be an integral part of the continuum of care,” says Michael Weinstein, MD, Medical Director of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center. “We will provide three hours of therapy a day with 24-hour rehabilitation nursing care coverage in a new, beautiful environment that promotes healing.”

    Prior to the Center opening, there were only 12 inpatient rehabilitation beds in the entire Coachella Valley. Moreover, patients faced the difficult decision of seeking inpatient care at a skilled nursing facility where they would receive much less intensive therapy or traveling hours to rehabilitation units in San Diego or Riverside.
