GI Clinic Insurance Accepted
Eisenhower Medical Center accepts many insurance plans; however, it is always best to call your carrier to confirm both in and out of network benefits prior to making an appointment. Eisenhower is a Medicare participating facility for both part A and part B.
Standard Medi-Cal is not accepted as a primary insurance in our clinics. We do not accept most Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs). If you have one of the HMOs that we do accept, a written pre-authorization is required.
Co-pays are due at the time of service and uninsured patients are eligible for a cash discount when the balance is paid in full at the time of service.
Self-pay package pricing is also available for screening colonoscopy services.
Eisenhower Medical Center has two convenient locations in the Coachella Valley, each with gastroenterology specialists.
NEW! Health care exchange information
For covered clinic services, Eisenhower Medical Center participates in these exchange programs:
- Anthem Blue Cross PPO
- HealthNet PPO
Insurance providers make the final determination which physicians are included in their coverage. Please check the Covered California Web site to see if your doctor of choice is included.
Other insurance coverage information (not related to the health care exchange)
- Medicare (traditional Medicare)
- Medicare Advantage Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans
- Medicare Private Fee for Service plans (PFFS)

Medicare Advantage PPO and PFFS plans may be out of network. Confirmation of your "In-Network" status can be made by calling your insurance.
Medicare Advantage HMO plans (e.g., SecureHorizons, MD Care Healthplan, and other Medicare Advantage HMO plans through networks such as Empire Physicians Medical Group and Desert Oasis Medical Group) cannot be accepted due to their requirement that HMO members must see their HMO primary care physician.
