The Eisenhower Rehabilitation Center provides an interdisciplinary approach in neurological rehabilitative care. Emphasis is placed on return of mobility and function, adaptive training, and maximizing the patient's independence.
Rehabilitation therapy treats spinal dysfunctions, spinal surgeries, peripheral and central nervous system injuries/conditions, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, or other neurological movement disorders. Licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work together to provide a comprehensive program addressing each patient's individual needs with a variety of treatment procedures and interventions.
Eisenhower's comprehensive facilities feature an Occupational Therapy Training Lab (with fully operational kitchen, laundry, and bathroom simulation and training areas), and a balance/fall prevention/vestibular rehabilitation center. Specialized equipment for neurological patients includes the Bioness® L 300 Foot Drop Neuroprosthesis, the Balancemaster Smart Equitest® System, and other therapy modalities designed to provide state-of-the-art rehabilitation.
