Emergency Department

The Emergency Department at Eisenhower Medical Center is a 45-bed Level II Base Station, averaging 65,000+ visits per year. The ED has a collaborative and dedicated team of physicians, nurses, ED Techs, phlebotomists, RCPs, x-ray techs, social services, a concierge, and 24-hour internal and external security. The department is staffed with a dedicated team leader, day and night charge nurses, clinical educator, pre-hospital liaison nurse, ED quality nurse and a forensic program coordinator. Our patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics. A large proportion of our patients have cardiac, pulmonary, orthopedic, and oncologic diagnoses. Our AMI and Stroke Clinical Pathways have decreased triage time to intervention. Interventional cardiology and neuro-radiology services are available 24/7. The ED has digital radiography, Accudose supply stations and medication dispensing units and a 24-hour ED dedicated stat lab.
