Inpatient Surgery

Inpatient Surgery Department has 10 rooms with 8-9 of those rooms scheduled daily. The department performs approximately 8,000 cases per year. There is a dedicated cardiac team for the open-heart program, which performs approximately 600 cases per year. Our patient population is primarily adults with a small pediatric and adolescent population.

Other services provided are: orthopedics, spine, vascular, general, urology, thoracic, gynecology, plastics and neurosurgery.

OR Assistants provide support to the surgical team. PAs and RNFAs are used as required. The department is in operation from 0645-2300 with staff on staggered 12-hour shifts. On call is required and is equally divided among all staff. The usual commitment is one shift per week and one weekend per month.

We are looking for staff with strong perioperative knowledge, skills and extensive OR experience. We currently have openings for our CVOR team. There are monthly OR education programs and we maintain a strong core of long term employees.
