“The issue of loss is a very significant problem in the geriatric population. As we age, we lose physical strength, physical health, friends and family. It is easy to become more socially withdrawn and isolated. With the economic recession, many seniors have lost significant financial security. At the Center for Geropsychiatry, we are very sensitive to these issues and we address them in a comprehensive, biopsychosocial program.”
