Eisenhower Auxiliary Annual Meeting

The Eisenhower Medical Center Auxiliary was founded 41 years ago by Dolores Hope, wife of legendary entertainer Bob Hope and a founding member of the Eisenhower Medical Center Board of Directors. Today, the Auxiliary has nearly 1,000 volunteers who donate their time and talent to Eisenhower. Since 1969, the Auxiliary has raised more than $21 million for Eisenhower, and its members have provided more than 4.4 million hours of volunteer service. Last year,Auxiliary volunteers donated more than 140,000 hours of their time to Eisenhower.

Each year at its Annual Meeting, the Auxiliary allocates donations to a wide range of Eisenhower projects using revenues from Collectors Corner, the Margaret Sticklen Gift Shops, and the annual gala,Holiday Voices.On April 14, 2010, the Auxiliary announced nearly $350,000 in gifts to Eisenhower Medical Center, the Betty Ford Center at Eisenhower, the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center at Eisenhower, the Arts in Healthcare Program, and the Eisenhower Five Star Club. The Auxiliary also continued funding for nursing scholarships assisting with nurse recruitment and retention.

This year, the Auxiliary made a special gift to the new Walter and Leonore Annenberg Pavilion which will make possible the purchase of 11 new motorized gurneys.
