• Using Robotic-Assisted Surgery for Complex Cases

    Eisenhower Medical Center prides itself in offering our patients excellent care and state-of-the-art technology. While often referred to as "robotic surgery," the da Vinci surgical system doesn't put a robot at the controls. Rather, the surgeon is always in control of every aspect of the surgery with the assistance of the robotic surgical system, which eliminates tremor and magnifies the surgical field through a three-dimensional image.

    Surgeons at Eisenhower are performing robotic-assisted surgeries for a variety of different conditions, from prostatectomy to complex gynecological surgeries. In fact, Intuitive Surgical, the manufacturer of the da Vinci Surgical System, named Eisenhower Medical Center a teaching center, one of only 29 in the country where physicians have been chosen for their excellent patient outcomes to assist physicians who are new to using the da Vinci.   • New Inpatient Rehabilitation Center Now Open for Patient Care

    Patients requiring intensive therapy after stroke or other debilitating medical conditions now have a new rehabilitation center close to home. Eisenhower Medical Center has expanded its services by opening the Coachella Valley’s newest and largest inpatient rehabilitation center.
