Lenore Raphael At The Annenberg Center For Health Sciences

Jazz pianist and Steinway Jazz Artist Lenore Raphael will be performing a special concert at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower in Rancho Mirage, Friday, October 9, 2009, at 7 p.m. This extraordinary concert has been fully underwritten by a private donation, and is free and open to the public.

Lenore Raphael has earned an international reputation as a hard-swinging mainstream artist. She has been called “Queen of Swinging Piano.”

Currently on tour, Raphael is performing to standing-room-only audiences, and has performed at such prestigious jazz clubs and festivals as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club in Miami Beach, Orange County Performing Arts Center, The East Coast Jazz Festival, Birdland in Manhattan, and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London. She also has her own radio show, “Lenore Raphael’s Jazz Spot,” on www.purejazzradio.com.

Raphael has performed with such jazz greats as Clark Terry, Al Grey, John Pizzarelli,Marlene VerPlanck, Harry Allen, Arnie Lawrence,Wycliffe Gordon, Ken Peplowski, and legendary drummer Artt Frank.
