Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Neumann received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California and his Doctor of Medicine from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Riverside General Hospital in Riverside, California and San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California.
After completing his residency and receiving certification in tropical medicine and hygiene from the Prince Leopold Institute in Antwerp, Belgium, Dr. Neumann left for Zaire, Africa to serve as Medical Director for Songa Adventist Hospital. He then moved to Malawi, Africa to not only treat patients at Adventist Health Centre, but also to serve as an instructor in community outreach projects and nursing in-service education and as Adventist Health Services Coordinator for 12 rural health centers.
He moved back to the United States for a brief period, working at Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, California. While at Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Dr. Neumann held positions at Loma Linda University as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Associate Director of Family Medicine Residency.
Another trip abroad would take Dr. Neumann to Saudi Arabia where he served in various positions from Employee Health Services Coordinator to Family Practice/Medical Educator at Al Hada Hospital in Taif, Saudi Arabia.
He moved back to United States in 1988 and has worked in the Coachella Valley ever since. He is a member of several professional organizations including the California Medical Association, American Academy of Family Practice and the California Academy of Family Practice. Dr. Neumann speaks fluent French and Spanish and enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown daughters.
Dr. Neumann credits his training at Loma Linda University for his service to rural and vulnerable populations. “My experiences in Africa and Saudi Arabia gave me incredible perspective to see the world in a different way which, I believe, allows me to better serve my patients.”
