The Stroke Program at Eisenhower Medical Center is proud to report excellent results in all of the indicators we track for our Advanced Primary Stroke Center Designation by the Joint Commission.
In addition, we monitor many other quality indicators for our designation as an Interventional Stroke Receiving Center with the County of Riverside, California.
In the graph below is a sample of our quality indicators, including: placing patients on anticoagulation if the patient is in the irregular heart rhythm called "atrial fibrillation" (ANTICOAG FOR AFIB); providing treatment to prevent development of deep vein clots (DVT PROPHYLAXIS); and providing our patients with stroke education (PATIENT EDUCATION).
We have decided to compare all of our indicators against the following benchmarks:
· The Joint Commission
· Hospitals of same size (250-499 beds)
· Teaching Hospitals
We are constantly looking at ways to improve our excellent care and hold our program accountable to impressive quality outcomes!
