Eisenhower Receives $316,000 Donation From Bighorn

Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center was the beneficiary of the 2008 BIGHORN Behind a Miracle Golf Tournament (BAM), which raises money in support of breast cancer treatment. This year’s event proceeds of $316,000 surpassed the BAM committee’s goals and will be used for a number of services and equipment, including a state-of-the-art ultrasound system for advanced breast imaging and a high-tech MRI-guided breast biopsy system for the Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center as well as spa robes, breast boards and head supports for more comfortable treatment at the Eisenhower BIGHORN Radiation Oncology Center.

“We are delighted that the BAM tournament committee chose to support Eisenhower with the event proceeds,” says Joan Randall, RN, MS, Executive Director, Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center. “This donation supports our physicians’ and staffs’ goal to provide the most up-to-date technology and a warm, healing environment for our patients — qualities that are so important to women facing breast cancer treatment or awaiting a diagnosis.”
