Protect Yourself and Our Community from the Flu
Eisenhower Medical Center is asking community members to kindly comply with the following recommendations through approximately March 31, 2014:
- If a loved one is in the hospital, please help limit the number of visitors to reduce the patient’s possible exposure to the flu.
- If you or a family member is experiencing flu-like symptoms*, please do not enter the hospital to visit friends or family. You may be asked not to visit your loved one by a member of staff.
- To protect children from exposure to hospitalized patients with the flu, children under the age of 18 will not be permitted to enter Eisenhower Hospital as visitors except under special circumstances. Such circumstances should be discussed with and approved by the clinical coordinator where the patient is staying prior to the visit.
- If you are seeking medical care and have flu-like symptoms*, please put on a mask and use hand sanitizer at any facility you enter.
*Flu symptoms include cough, fever, runny nose, congestion, chills and body aches.
It is not too late to get the flu vaccine! Vaccines are available at Eisenhower Urgent Care locations. Call 760-834-3593 for information.
Remember to wash your hands! Good hand hygiene has been proven to reduce the spread of germs.
