U.S. News and World Report has released its annual hospital rankings. Eisenhower Medical Center ranked #1 in Riverside Metro area and #21 in California.Eisenhower also received recognition for its performance in nine inpatient surgical procedures and chronic conditions.
More than 4,500 hospitals were rated as High Performing, Average or Below Average. The results: 1,628 earned at least one "high performing" designation - the top rating.
Eisenhower Medical Center is one of only 63 hospitals that received "high performing" ratings on all nine types of care. Eisenhower is proud to be among the two percent of hospitals in the nation to earn this distinction.
The analysis includes a mix of risk-adjusted data on readmission rates, mortality and other outcomes, the occurrence of common types of health care-acquired infections, federally mandated patient satisfaction surveys and selected hospital survey measures.

Eisenhower Medical Center Only Coachella Valley Hospital to Receive FOUR STARS in USA Government Rating System
Eisenhower Medical Center received four stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in its Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating released on July 27, 2016. 20 percent of hospitals nationwide received four stars, with a majority of the hospitals receiving three, two and one star.
According to CMSs website, the Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating provides information on how well hospitals provide recommended care to their patients. This information can help consumers make informed decisions about health care.
