  • Board Certified in Family Medicine, Jennifer G. Sarayba, MD, has experience providing medical care to a diverse pediatric, adult and geriatric population.

Dr. Sarayba completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia before attending medical school at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Dr. Sarayba then completed her residency in Family Medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Glenview, Illinois, where she also spent one year as Chief Resident.

“You could say that the passion for medicine runs in my blood. I had a nostalgic sense of pride and honor to walk the halls of the Alma Mater where my father and my grandfather had learned the art of medicine. The experience of medicine in a third world country compels the development of skills necessary to contend with limitations in diagnostic technology and resources. Once back in the states, one has a sincere appreciation for the vast armamentarium available to us as physicians to diagnose and treat disease and perpetuate health. I feel that my experiences help me to provide thorough and quality care for my patients.”

As a Family Medicine physician, Dr. Sarayba practiced at North Shore University Health System in Lincolnwood, Illinois, in addition to teaching at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

Dr. Sarayba is fluent in English and Tagalog. When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Sarayba enjoys spending quality time with her family as well as an active lifestyle both in and out of the gym.

“I believe that people deserve the best when it comes to their health. I feel that health promotes happiness, which in turn promotes the highest quality of life. I am honored when a patient chooses me to assist them in the care of their health and put great value and respect in the trust that patient gives me. This important relationship between physician and patient is one of the main reasons why I love what I do.”
