Dr. Avila has continued to teach throughout her medical career; as a lecturer/mentor at John Burns Medical School of Hawaii, the Family Practice Residency faculty training for UCSD, the Sharp Family Residency Program and the Stanford University Associate Program. “I am thrilled to be the Medical Director of the Eisenhower Wellness Institute and a Primary Care 365 physician, which will bring the tools and concepts of Preventive Medicine to the community,” says Dr. Avila. “As human beings, we are not perfect, and we can all benefit from on-going health education, lifestyle change support, and the knowledge that we have the ability to achieve a healthy, quality life at any age.”
