  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Allison Lovell, MD, received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Yale – New Haven Medical Center at Waterbury Internal Medicine Residency Program in Connecticut.

Dr. Lovell has more than 28 years of experience in the specialty of Internal Medicine. During her career, Dr. Lovell worked for several medical groups in Southern California encompassing experience in women’s health, emergency medicine, preventive health and rural health.

“I am fortunate to be living my dream! Caring for people was a desire with which I was a child,” states Dr. Lovell. While in medical school, Dr. Lovell was drawn to internal medicine as a specialty, knowing she wanted to treat adults in a broad-based realm and to be involved in her patients’ lives over a long period of time. “I am energetic and passionate about my profession. I am very attentive to details and am genuinely dedicated to my patients.”

“Each individual patient and I are a team. Along with other health professionals — as needed — we establish common goals to improve their quality of life for a healthy future,” states Dr. Lovell. “With my ‘at-ease manner,’ I find it essential to take time to listen to each of my patients’ concerns — to obtain insight into the whole person. Understanding their background, family life and feelings of well-being are very important aspects to how we establish a plan to restore the patient to optimal health.” With special interests in preventive medicine and women’s health, Dr. Lovell educates and empowers her patients to actively participate in their health care management and to live every day to its fullest potential.

Dr. Lovell is a proud mother of two young adult sons — Casey and Cody, is committed to fitness and enjoys the outdoors.

“Philosophically, my goal is not just to manage illness, but a restoration of health whenever possible. This is best achieved with a combined approach utilizing the benefits of allopathic medicine when needed, with a natural approach when it benefits the patient and safely speeds the healing process.”
