Center for Geropsychiatry Celebrates Third Anniversary and Mental Health Month
Lecture Being Held May 16
Eisenhower Medical Center’s Center for Geropsychiatry celebrates its third anniversary this month during Mental Health Month. Located on the campus of Eisenhower Medical Center, the Center for Geropsychiatry opened in July 2010 as a voluntary inpatient program for seniors 65 and older.
To celebrate the occasion, the Center for Geropsychiatry is holding an event featuring Gary W. Small, MD, from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The event entitled Connecting the Pieces of the Puzzle — Maintaining Mental Health Wellness in the Senior Years, is scheduled for Thursday, May 16 at the Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower. The reception begins at 5 p.m. and the lecture at 6 p.m.
Dr. Small is affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is the director of UCLA Longevity Center and director of their Geriatric Psychiatry Division.
