Board certified in family medicine, Gregory A. Pecchia, DO, FACOFP brings 25 years of private medical practice experience to the Eisenhower 365 Personalized Care Program. Dr. Pecchia specializes in family and geriatric medicine and has held various executive-level positions as administrator, educator and medical informatics consultant.
Dr. Pecchia obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. He completed his primary care internship training at Phoenix General Hospital (now John C. Lincoln Hospital) and later earned certification as a family physician with added qualification in geriatrics. He began his career in private medical practice as co-founder of Family Practice Physicians, Inc. in Orange, California with whom he has continued active medical practice until recently joining the medical staff of Eisenhower Medical Center.

While successfully managing his own growing medical practice, Dr. Pecchia also held teaching positions at Western University of Health Sciences, Chapman University and Downey Regional Medical Center as clinical assistant professor and visiting lecturer. He has also held clinical and administrative positions at various levels of the health care delivery system, including medical directorships with skilled nursing facilities, hospice organizations and housecall services.
Medical informatics, a field growing in importance in the health care industry, has long been a professional interest of Dr. Pecchia. He has served as a consultant to the medical software solutions industry in the conceptualization, development, implementation and adoption of office automation solutions.
Dr. Pecchia, a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, is also affiliated with numerous professional organizations including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California (for whom he is the current president-elect), the American Osteopathic Academy of Medical Informatics, the American Medical Informatics Association, the Microsoft Health Users Group and the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems. Most recently, he completed two-year terms as both Chair of the Department of Family Practice and as Chair of the Information Technology Advisory Council at St. Joseph Hospital, Orange.
