Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and previously in Family Medicine, Dr. Fausel received his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Pathology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He is also an ISCD Certified Clinical Densitometrist.
Upon completion of his medical training, Dr. Fausel initially practiced as a staff pathologist at Eisenhower. Subsequently, he joined the Cancer and Blood Institute, an oncology clinic where he became interested in bone health and disease. “If people have good bone health they will have longer happier lives,” states Dr. Fausel. “Working with oncology patients provided a unique vantage point for me to realize that good bone health is the foundation to good overall health.”
Dr. Fausel has been associated with Eisenhower Medical Center for over 37 years, initially as a Medical Technologist prior to attending medical school, then as a Medical Staff Pathologist. Most recently, Dr. Fausel has served as Founder and Director of The Osteoporosis Center of the Desert, devoting all of his energy to the maintenance of bone health and the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and related bone diseases.
