Annual Fund Frequently Asked Questions

Annual Fund Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the Annual Fund?
A:
The Annual Fund provides support for Eisenhower Medical Center's greatest needs during the current fiscal year. Each and every gift, regardless of the size, is greatly needed and deeply appreciated.

Q: Is my Annual Fund gift tax-deductible?
A:
Yes, donations to the Annual Fund are fully tax-deductible within the limits of the law.

Q: Will I be recognized as a contributor to the Annual Fund?
A:
Each gift we receive helps to make a significant difference in the lives of our patients. We are grateful for all gifts, regardless of the amount. Your generosity of $1,000 or more will be recognized with name recognition on the Eisenhower Associates Annual Fund donor wall in the lobby of Eisenhower Medical Center and in Eisenhower publications.

Q: The hospital has many patients who pay for care. Does it really need Annual Fund contributions, too?
A:
Yes! The costs of operating a state-of-the-art medical center are enormous. Eisenhower Medical Center is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization which receives no local, state or federal tax support, therefore, we must depend on the generosity and support of many individuals and organizations in order to deliver high quality medical care and remain on the leading edge of technology.

Q: Can I designate my Annual Fund gift for a particular use?
A:
Your gift is automatically directed to provide unrestricted support where it is needed the most.

Q: What percentage of each dollar raised is for fundraising costs?
A:
Our cost of fundraising constitutes no more than 6.5% of every dollar we receive, in comparison to the national average of 15 - 20%.

Q: Can I make an Annual Fund gift in honor or memory of a loved one?
A:
Yes. Charitable contributions are a kind and caring way to express your thanks, love, or admiration for a special person. Eisenhower Medical Center Foundation staff will mail a card to the person honored by your gift or to the family of the person memorialized by your gift, notifying them of your generosity. The amount of your gift will remain confidential. You will receive notification that a card was sent, as well as a tax receipt for your thoughtful gift.
