One of Three Hosts Sites in Coachella Valley

The American Cancer Society is conducting a large-scale, long-term study looking at the lifestyle, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer. The Society is looking for a host of “Community Champions” who will spread the word about enrollment opportunities locally, and help recruit new volunteers to join the study. Eisenhower Medical Center is one of three host sites in the Coachella Valley for this historic cancer research effort which will begin in November. An American Cancer Society “Community Champion” is an individual who is willing to talk to friends, family, co-workers and the community about enrolling in the study. Community Champion volunteers will be trained and given materials for recruitment. To be a Community Champion, please contact Sergio Herrera at Sergio.Herrera@cancer.org or 760-340-1597.
