BIGHORN Contribution Honored by Eisenhower
Eisenhower Medical Center has renamed its state-of-the-art radiation oncology center BIGHORN Radiation Oncology Center in recognition of BIGHORN Golf Club’s generous $11 million gift to Campaign Eisenhower, Eisenhower’s capital campaign. A celebration held on January 28, 2007 at Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center included the official ribbon cutting ceremony and a festive reception attended by BIGHORN members and Eisenhower Medical Center executives and staff.
Championed by BIGHORN Golf Club Chairman R. D. Hubbard, more than 100 BIGHORN members answered his call to action. “It is terrible to see friends encounter health problems, and we are proud to be affiliated with Eisenhower who provides tremendous resources to the community,” says Hubbard. Addressing Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard and BIGHORN members, Harry M. Goldstein, Chairman of the Board, Eisenhower Medical Center, said, “I don’t know if you fully realize how important your generosity has been — and will continue to be — to our lives, to your lives, and to the lives of the thousands of others who look to this institution for life-saving treatment and care.”
