Visiting Hours and Policies
Eisenhower Medical Center promotes and supports a patient and family-centered approach to care. We recognize that open visitation plays an important role in your healing and recovery. Visitors are welcome 24 hours a day according to your preference. To protect your health, friends and relatives who are ill should not come to the hospital to visit you.
Patients may otherwise designate and receive visitors of their choosing. There is no restriction, limitation or otherwise denial of visitation privileges based on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability. Children supervised by an adult are welcome and are not restricted by age.
Several of our specialty units have visitation guidelines. If you have needs that are not within the guidelines listed below, the nurse will work together with you and your family to establish an individualized plan for visitation.
- Intensive Care visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to midnight, with no more than two visitors in a room at a time. Visiting is individualized by nurses according to patients' needs.
- Pediatrics Unit visiting hours are 10:00 am to 8:00 p.m. Parents may visit 24 hours a day. A sleeping chair can be provided for a parent who wants to spend the night with his or her child.
- Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit visiting hours are patient specific and vary daily. Families and caregivers are encouraged to work with the staff during visitation to learn the proper rehabilitation techniques to be continued after discharge.
